Hulu comedy-drama series The Bear is the most acclaimed show on television right now, having recently taken home an outstanding ten Primetime Emmy Awards at the first of two 2024 ceremonies back in January, in its first year of eligibility.

The Bear follows prestigious chef Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), as he swaps Michelin stars for meltdowns as he attempts to save his late brother’s failing restaurant business from closing its doors for good. The series aired its second season late last year, just missing the cut for being delayed by the writers’ and actors’ strikes that took place over much of 2023, having finished final re-writes and re-shoots before production was shut down.

A third season was confirmed shortly after the success of the second series, with filming of the upcoming episodes starting on Feb. 26. Online, rumors have been rampant about a third and potential fourth season being filmed back to back. However, there has been confusion about a fourth season being confirmed in the first place, leaving fans with the question of season three potentially being the show’s last.

Will there be a fourth season of The Bear?

According to a report by entertainment outlet Deadline from March 2024, The Bear was “quietly” renewed for a fourth season, and they will indeed be filmed back to back, as revealed by sources speaking to the outlet. The term “quietly” was used by Deadline to explain that a fourth season has not been formally announced to the public by FX, the network that produces the series, and a rep declined to comment on the rumor when contacted by the site.

Deadline also stated through the same sources that back-to-back filming was most likely due to lead actors Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri’s busy schedules for other projects, but a fifth season had not by any means been ruled out.

As of The Bear’s season three release at the end of June 2024, FX still haven’t confirmed the fourth season – although other publications like Deadline and Variety seem confident that the season is going ahead, and the new episodes are not going to be the last. Additionally, cast members like Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White confirmed scenes were shot for a new season earlier this year.

However, a report by The Playlist has apparently quashed Deadline’s earlier claims that seasons three and four were shot entirely back to back. According to the publication, attempts to film back-to-back were scrapped after scripts were not completed in time for the following season – adding that production is said to presume in early 2025.

When can we expect The Bear season four?

The Bear seasons 1-3 have consistently been released in the last week of June every year, so it is likely a fourth season would follow suit. If reported filming delays are significant, however, this may be subject to change. On the other hand, if a lot of filming has wrapped for season four already, a new season may be able to arrive on time — or even a little earlier.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Bear season 3, episode 1.

Last night, Hulu opened its doors to 10 episodes of high art in the form of season 3 of The Bear.

For anyone who’s been following Carmy and the gang from the get-go, that statement should come as no surprise; the Christopher Storer dramedy’s grasp of the human condition is only matched by the way it uses culinary culture to unfold it all, and its commitment to its artistic fundamentals is only ever elevated as it takes on the challenge of telling more and more story.

But, even with standards that would make Carmy himself wonder if they should ease up a bit, The Bear found a way to go even further right out of the gate. And for those of you who also remain tantalizingly haunted by “Tomorrow,” you’ve felt that truth better than anyone could ever express in writing.

Season 3, episode 1 of The Bear is in a class of its own

Image via Hulu

Indeed, “Tomorrow” is quite definitively cut from the same cloth as the rest of the show’s episodes, mainly in the sense that each of them is crafted so incisively and singularly that they feel like their own Michelin-star treat.

“Tomorrow,” however, separates itself from that serial individuality in an even more extreme sense; the entire episode explores overlapping vignettes from Carmy’s psyche, from his ventures in New York and Copenhagen, to his relationship with Claire, to the day he found out Mikey was dead, and everything in between and beyond. And rather than dousing itself in animated, gravy-stained anxiety, “Tomorrow” opted for something much quieter and meditative, all without losing the searing bite that The Bear episodes so often come packaged with.

And perhaps more importantly, “Tomorrow” is effective as a sort of super-sized realization of The Bear‘s modus operandi; every piece of dialogue and tick of body language in this show is packed to the brim with intention, and we recognize that in not only the empathy we feel for these characters in the moment but in the many levels and possibilities that these beats are working on/with at any given time. This episode, so methodically and gently fractured, shows everything that’s going on with Carmy, and therefore runs parallel with every thread we viewers can pull on whenever he’s glancing at Richie, or testing the water that he’s treading with Sydney, or even just spacing out.

And when you have writing like that multiplied by a factor of all The Bear‘s players and relationships and nuances, “artistic perfection” doesn’t even come close to describing your show.

Seasons 1 through 3 of The Bear are all available to stream exclusively on Hulu, with a fourth season awaiting a release date.

Warning: Spoilers for The Bear season three to follow

The Bear season three has finally descended upon us, and while we viewers are feasting on some of Christopher Storer’s finest delicacies yet, things are looking more on the grizzly side for Carmy and company.

The tension is lacerating in the way that only The Bear can be; that is, not without an equally hearty dose of warmth and humanity. Indeed, in the land of the Berzattos, things can only be wonderful when they’re downright horrible, and vice versa.

And with season four having wrapped filming more-or-less in tandem with season three, it’s only a matter of time before the other shoe drops on season three’s multi-pronged cliffhanger. So, how did things wrap up exactly?

The Bear season three ending, explained

Image via Hulu

In the tenth and final episode of The Bear‘s third round, alumni and friends of Chef Andrea Terry’s (Olivia Colman) restaurant Ever all came together for one last meal from the establishment. This included David Fields (Joel McHale), the executive chef that turned Carmy’s life into a waking nightmare in New York, and whose culture Carmy has come to model The Bear’s after (much to the dismay of Carmy himself, who clues into that over the course of the episode).

After confronting David, Carmy finds momentary solace in a conversation with Andrea before getting a Google alert on his phone; the review for The Bear has been published. He doesn’t open it, nor does he do anything with the three missed calls he has from Claire.

While this is happening, Sydney opens up her apartment for an Ever afterparty, hosting her coworkers from The Bear in addition to Andrea, Luca (who was present at the last Ever dinner), and Jess, in whose future viewers will probably spy a Richie romance. Everyone is laughing, drinking, and somehow making five-star meals out of Eggos and frozen pizzas.

During this shindig, Sydney spies the Chicago Tribune’s review of The Bear that’s stuck on her fridge with a magnet; a four-star verdict with the headline “The Bear evolves with Chicago.” Sydney promptly walks outside and has a panic attack; she hasn’t signed the agreement for The Bear, she’s torn between staying at The Bear and joining Adam Shapiro on his new venture, and since The Bear won’t be closing any time soon, she’ll have to face Carmy about it now.

Elsewhere, Richie and Carmy still aren’t on speaking terms, Natalie is adjusting to life as a mom, Tiffany’s wedding to Frank is coming up (which is doing no great favors for Richie’s anxiety), and the Faks are still the Faks.

Here’s hoping Hulu gets hands for season four before long, because there are few finer delights in life than watching The Bear solve television with each season.

Good news for fans craving another season of The Bear — Hulu and Disney Plus are serving up another season soon. Amidst all the disruption in TV production, there are many uncertainties over what a third season of the critically acclaimed drama series will look like. To whet your appetite, here’s what we know so far.

The Bear season 3 release window

The Bear Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and Tina (Liza Cólon-Zayas)
via Hulu

Originally, the season was meant to release at midnight on Thursday, June 27. However, a few days before it goes live, the showrunners announced it would actually debut on June 26, 9pm ET and 6pm PT. All 10 episodes will become available when that countdown ends.

Filming began for the third season of The Bear in Feb. 2024, a month after a deal was struck with the Writers and Actors’ Guilds, after months of strikes beginning in May of last year.

The Bear season 3 cast

For now, it seems that every main cast member is returning for season 3. This includes, but is not limited to, Jeremy Allen White (Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto), Ayo Edebiri (Sydney Adamu), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Richard “Richie/Cousin” Jerimovich), Lionel Boyce (Marcus Brooks), and Liza Colón-Zayas (Tina Marrero) as the main kitchen crew. Edwin Lee Gibson (Ebraheim) and Corey Hendrix (Gary “Sweeps” Woods) are billed as recurring cast members, but this may change in season 3.

Helping out the staff at the Beef restaurant in Chicago will likely include Abby Elliott (Natalie “Sugar” Rose Berzatto), Matty Matheson (Neil Fak), Oliver Platt (Jimmy “Cicero/Uncle” Kalinowski), and Molly Gordon (Claire).

Any changes to the main cast, such as actors being promoted from series regular to main character, or new characters being introduced, are seemingly under wraps for now, with no new casting announcements.

Will Poulter, who guest starred in season 2 as Luca, the friendly chef Marcus met and trained with in Copenhagen, has been spotted working at a real-life restaurant, and then confirmed to return in season three.

If call-backs are a frequent theme in the new season, there’s every chance Jon Bernthal, Olivia Colman, Bob Odenkirk, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Sarah Paulson could return to do more guest star appearances.

The Bear season 3 news

Screengrab via YouTube

We know a few tidbits about the forthcoming season of The Bear. According to Chris Storer, the creator and main director of the series, Ayo Edebiri will direct a few episodes of season 3. This will be the actress’ first time directing, with Ayo being “an important set of fresh eyes”, as Storer told Esquire. Previously, the series had actor and comedian Ramy Youssef guest direct season 2 episode 4, “Honeydew.”

Although not confirmed by FX, The Bear apparently filmed the third and a fourth season back-to-back, according to numerous entertainment outlets. According to these reports, the decision to film both seasons came from Edebiri and White’s commitments to other projects, and a fifth season is currently in consideration.

Who is in the ‘General Hospital’ cast in 2024? https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/who-is-in-the-general-hospital-cast-in-2024/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/who-is-in-the-general-hospital-cast-in-2024/#respond Sun, 23 Jun 2024 15:49:40 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1713164 The long-running daytime classic continues to revamp its talented cast.]]>

General Hospital remains one of television’s most enduring and beloved soap operas. Created by Frank and Doris Hursley, the serial premiered on April 1, 1963, and has continuously aired new episodes for the past six decades. The series continues to win audiences over with its dramatic storylines, complex characters, and intricate relationships. Over the years, some cast members have stuck with the show, while others have said their goodbyes.

So, here’s a quick look at the current cast of General Hospital.

Donnell Turner as Curtis Ashford

Donnell Turner takes on the role of Curtis Ashford, a former private investigator with a heart of gold. He is now the owner of the nightclub and music venue, The Savoy. Since joining the show, Curtis has become a crucial player in many of Port Charles’ major storylines.

Tanisha Harper as Jordan Ashford

Tanisha Harper steps into the role of Jordan Ashford, the Commissioner of the Port Charles Police Department. Jordan Ashford is also the mother of T. J. Ashford. This character’s tough yet compassionate nature makes her a central figure in the town’s law enforcement, as well as many of its unfolding dramas.

Tajh Bellow as Thomas “T.J.” Ashford

Dr. Thomas “T.J.” Ashford is the son of Shawn Butler and Jordan Ashford. Named after Tommy Ashford, who was initially believed to be his father, T.J. has since carved out his own identity, and is emerging as a rising star at General Hospital.

Robert Gossett as Marshall Ashford

Robert Gossett plays Marshall Ashford, adding some more drama to the Ashford family saga. Marshall is an avid musician, and is Curtis Ashford’s estranged father. While he was believed to be long dead, he has unexpectedly returned to Curtis’ life, determined to reconnect with his son, and rebuild their relationship.

Genie Francis as Laura Collins

Laura Collins is one of Port Charles’ most iconic residents, known for her dynamic and storied life history. Genie Francis is synonymous with General Hospital, having first appeared as Laura Vining in the 1970s. Her character’s epic romance with Luke Spencer remains one of the most iconic in soap opera history. She has also faced false murder charges, battled the Cassadines, and rose to become the city’s newest mayor.

Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones

Kirsten Storms takes on the role of Maxie Jones, daughter of Frisco Jones and Felica Cummings. Despite being the daughter of the supercouple, she was raised by her stepfather Mac Scorpio. Maxie is a mother of three and is best friends with Damian Spinelli.

Bradford Anderson as Damian Spinelli

Bradford Anderson’s role as Damian Spinelli brings some delightful charm and humor to the series. Spinelli is a former hacker who is known to have committed various crimes throughout his time in the series. His on-screen chemistry with Jason Morgan and Sam McCall as best friends and occasional partners-in-crime remains a highlight of the show.

James Patrick Stuart as Valentin Cassadine

James Patrick Stuart has brought a multifaceted dimension to the character of Valentin Cassadine, son of the series’ most iconic antagonists Helena and Victor Cassadine. Initially introduced as a villain himself, Valentin’s evolution into a more nuanced character has been a fascinating process. He is deeply feared within his family and regarded as the most dangerous Cassadine.

General Hospital’s supporting cast

 • Tabyana Ali as Trina Robinson
 • Eden McCoy as Josslyn Jacks
 • William Lipton as Cameron Webber
 • Steve Burton as Jason Morgan
 • Chad Duell as Michael Corinthos
 • Maurice Bernand as Sonny Corinthos

As General Hospital continues its 2024 run, the show continues to evolve, introducing new faces while maintaining its iconic core characters. Evidently, the longest-running American serial isn’t goung anywhere.

Is ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ leaving Hulu? https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/is-malcolm-in-the-middle-leaving-hulu/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/is-malcolm-in-the-middle-leaving-hulu/#respond Tue, 18 Jun 2024 10:06:07 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1710500 It isn't the first time Hulu have suggested the show is being removed.]]>

The massively successful American sitcom Malcolm in the Middle aired on Fox from January 2000 until May 2006. With its fantastic cast, including Frankie Muniz in his star-making eponymous role, Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Erik Per Sullivan, the show had characters almost everyone could relate to and made millions laugh every week over seven seasons and 151 episodes.

It follows the comical misadventures of a dysfunctional lower-middle-class California family, focusing heavily on the titular Malcolm, who’s quickly revealed to be a boy genius with an IQ of 165.

The show has been available to stream in homes since December 2017, when it was made available on Hulu. However, some uncertainty has arisen about its future on the popular platform.

What’s happening with Malcolm in the Middle on Hulu?

Malcolm in the Middle
Image via Fox

According to a post in r/malcolminthemiddle on June 17 by Redditor DrScitt, Malcolm in the Middle is set to leave Hulu at the end of June 2024. Dr Scitt’s headline for their post says, “Once again, US Hulu shows that MitM is going to be removed. Set to leave at the end of June.”

The post also shows a screenshot with a 13-day countdown until the show expires on the platform, meaning its removal is due to occur on June 30.

Having said that, as some people note in the replies, this isn’t the first time Hulu suggested the series was due for removal — it had happened in 2022 and 2023, with both potential removals ultimately not happening.

So, is Malcolm in the Middle leaving Hulu on June 30? Currently, taking the platform’s available information at face value, the answer is “Yes.” However, given past precedence, we can only suggest you watch this space.

A new TV series called Clipped, starring Ed O’Neill as disgraced former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, has brought renewed attention to a 2014 scandal that captivated the nation. After the team was sold, Sterling seemed to disappear from the limelight. So where is he now?

To understand his current situation, we need to go back and see how the whole thing started. Sterling’s remarkable NBA career as a team owner came to a harrowing end in 2014 when a tape leaked of Sterling saying racist things to his mistress, V. Stiviano.

On April 25, 2014, TMZ Sports released an audio recording of Sterling arguing with Stiviano and telling her he doesn’t want her to bring Black people to his games.

“It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with Black people. Do you have to?” he said on the tape to his Black, Mexican mistress.

Of course, the tape caused a commotion across the sports world and even elicited a rare political comment from NBA superstar LeBron James, who famously said: “There’s no place for Donald Sterling in our league.” Others spoke up, and NBA commissioner Adam Silver eventually banned Sterling for life and fined him $2.5 million.

Where is Donald Sterling now?

While he lost his NBA team, Sterling didn’t lose any of his gargantuan wealth. Per Forbes, Sterling is worth something around $4 billion. Immediately after the sale of The Clippers, he vowed to sue the “hypocrites and bullies” at the NBA until he got his money back, but he eventually settled in 2016. A year later, he claimed that selling the team was the best thing that ever happened to him.

“I was trying to negotiate the highest price I could,” Sterling said. “So if I would have voluntarily offered to sell the team, I wouldn’t have gotten the highest price.” He reconciled with his wife Shelly as well.

“I am as happy as I have ever been. I am as comfortable as I have ever been,” Sterling said. “And I don’t want to do anything to disturb that.” He lives in Malibu and is often seen around the area, sometimes in the company of his wife.

The miniseries Clipped is based on the scandal and the drama and chaos that surrounded it. There are six episodes. Here’s the release schedule:

 • Episode 1: June 4, 2024
 • Episode 2: June 4, 2024
 • Episode 3: June 11, 2024
 • Episode 4: June 18, 2024
 • Episode 5: June 25, 2024
 • Episode 6: July 2, 2024

Clipped is available to stream on Hulu.

‘Under the Bridge’: How did Rebecca Godfrey die? https://wegotthiscovered.com/celebrities/under-the-bridge-how-did-rebecca-godfrey-die/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/celebrities/under-the-bridge-how-did-rebecca-godfrey-die/#respond Fri, 31 May 2024 15:36:39 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1702555 The author was praised for her particular approach to the murder case of 14 year-old Canadian Reena Virk.]]>

Novelist and non-fiction writer Rebecca Godfrey plays a huge part in Hulu’s 2024 crime drama Under The Bridge.

Godfrey is played by Daisy Jones & The Six‘s Riley Keough but her real-life counterpart not only helped develop the show but also wrote one of the seminal books about the case that it explores. Godfrey grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, around the same area as Reena Virk, the 14-year-old Canadian girl whose shocking murder at the hands of other teenagers is at the center of the Hulu drama.

Eerily, the author’s brother, Jonathan, also died by drowning after falling from a cliff when he was 16 and Godfrey was 13. She told The Paris Review in 2019 that the aggressiveness with which journalists handled the tragedy then informed the way she chose to approach Virk’s death in her writing.

I didn’t want to be that intrusive or voyeuristic, so I was quite tentative by journalistic standards. I took a long time. I remember being in my car, pulling over to the side of the road, with panic attacks while I was on my way to interview people.”

Despite moving to New York to develop a career in journalism, the case felt close to home for the author, who moved back to Canada to investigate and write a book about it. Under the Bridge was published in 2005 and won the second annual British Columbia Award for Canadian Non-Fiction the following year. The judges for the competition summarized what it was that largely defined not just the book’s success but Godfrey’s career as a writer in general.

Godfrey’s depiction of teenage sentiment, as disturbing as it is compassionate, lingers long in the mind and the heart.”

Although Under The Bridge made Godfrey a household name, before it she had already published the critically acclaimed The Torn Skirt in 2001, which explores a lot of the same themes of female juvenile delinquency.

What happened to Under The Bridge author Rebecca Godfrey?

Rebecca Godfrey sadly passed away from lung cancer complications in a New York City Hospital on Oct. 3, 2022, at age 54. The news was only announced a month later in November, but around the time of Godfrey’s passing her name was in headlines for a different reason: Hulu had ordered a series based on her best-selling true-crime book, Under the Bridge.

“Rebecca passed away a few weeks before we started shooting the pilot, but she was super creatively involved in the years before,” Under The Bridge showrunner Quinn Shephard told The Wrap at the time of the show’s release in April 2024. According to The New York Times, the two collaborated for two and a half years to adapt the book to the television format, with Godfrey being credited as an executive producer.

Although the Hulu miniseries and Godfrey’s book share a title, Shephard was adamant it should adopt a “bird’s eye” perspective over the events, which included consulting Virk’s father and making Godfrey one more character in the show (Keogh shares the spotlight with Vritika Gupta’s Reena Virk and Lily Gladstone’s police detective Cam Bentland). The author’s ability to connect with the teens who were involved in the murder and get them to open up was a big part of Under The Bridge‘s success (show and book alike).

Rebecca allowed me to embrace the rebellious, sensitive, and mischievous spirit she had at the age when she wrote this. I wonder if at the time, when she was in it, it was hard to see how special the story of her writing this truly was. She would often say that looking back, she wondered how she was able to do it, withstand all of that darkness for so many years.”

Godfrey was excited to create her fictional counterpart, Shephard says, and was even behind the casting of now-Oscar-nominee Gladstone as the completely fictional police officer, with whom Keough’s character has a romantic history.

Her friend had worked on Killers of the Flower Moon and was like, ‘There’s this actress you have to see.”

Rebecca Godfrey is survived by her husband, Herbert Wilson; their daughter, Ada; her mother; and her brother Samuel.

‘The Bear’ season 3 teases Carmy and the gang’s descent into utter madness https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/the-bear-season-3-teases-carmy-and-the-gangs-descent-into-utter-madness/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/the-bear-season-3-teases-carmy-and-the-gangs-descent-into-utter-madness/#respond Wed, 29 May 2024 22:30:45 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1701671 In Chicago, the kitchens ARE the hell.]]>

What began as eight episodes of a sharply poignant, garlic-scented, caustic-yet-sweet examination of grief has since become one of the most prominent Emmy gluttons in recent history, and we can all hear its third season shouting “corner!” as we speak.

Round three of The Bear is gearing up for release next month, starting right from where last season left us off; namely, on a quintessentially Carmy Berzatto-coded note, in which the restaurant known as The Bear had about as good of a soft launch as it could have had (take that as you will) and Carmy still finding a way to be contagiously miserable by the end of it all.

By the looks of the show’s brand-new season 3 trailer, things are only going to continue escalating from here ⏤ but perhaps not on the most upward of trajectories.

The Bear season 3 official trailer is here, and it promises chaos

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHiwdDFPsZY

The scene is perfect: a rainy Chicago peering into the dark nooks and crannies of Carmy’s many abodes; the anxious voices of him, Sydney, and Richie alluding to whatever chaos is in store for the restaurant’s brain trust; the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it scenes of all the genuinely heartwarming moments whose bespoke respites will inevitably give way to whatever four-dimensional emotional train wreck comes next. The Bear’s season 3 trailer promises another batch of dramatic episodes just as mouth-watering as the last, but there may be more calamity than ever in store for our merry band of misfits.

By the looks of things, The Bear’s public rollout is set to be marred by an unreasonable uptick in Carmy’s ambitions, which he tries to smooth over by making Sydney a co-owner, all while dealing with the fact that he whipped up an enormous batch of self-sabotage made especially for his relationship with Claire. And that’s just Carmy; everyone else has their own troubles on the horizon as they navigate their restaurant and/or restaurant-adjacent lifestyle.

Will Carmy start taking his happiness with Claire as seriously as the “non-negotiables” he’ll be prioritizing in season 3? How long and how hard will he and Sydney butt heads at the top of The Bear’s management food chain? Will Fak be pouring that water for the rest of eternity? We’ll find out when The Bear‘s third season drops its full lineup of new episodes exclusively on Hulu June 27.

Was ‘Will Trent’ renewed for season 3? https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/was-will-trent-renewed-for-season-3/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/tv/was-will-trent-renewed-for-season-3/#respond Tue, 28 May 2024 09:22:11 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1700517 What happens to Angie now? Does Will survive the heartbreak? We need answers!]]>

Following the conclusion of season 2 of ABC’s Will Trent, fans are eager to know how soon season 3 will be coming to their screens. The crime drama, based on the novels of the same name, is a ratings hit for ABC. A healthy mix of suspense, drama, action, and comedy, season 2 of Will Trent was a worthy successor to the first season. But will the titular detective and TV’s favorite chihuahua Betty return for another round of mysteries?

The season 2 finale, “Do You See the Vision,” left us wondering just how season 3 plans to pick up. The high-stakes episode featured the FBI and the APD joining forces to take down the killer who murders sex offenders and leaves toys in their mouths. After connecting the dots, Will realized they weren’t looking for a “bad guy.” The culprit was a woman. Beyond that, Will’s love life has taken a huge hit, and he’s left alone.

Was Will Trent’s release window delayed until 2025?

The new season will either meet Will at his current state of defeat, or make a time jump and then fill in the holes through flashbacks. However, there’s quite a bit of time before the series returns. Initial speculations pegged season 3 to have a Fall 2024 return date. But, following ABC’s new lineup for their 2024-25 schedule, we now know that season 3 of Will Trent will not return until 2025.

The show was officially renewed for season 3 in April, and is likely to air between 10 and 18 episodes in the new season. At this time though, it’s unclear the exact date the series will be available to viewers.

Leading in both ratings and overall performance, ABC’s Will Trent and The Rookie were held by the network, and will have midseason debuts. Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich revealed in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter the reason for this decision

Both of those shows are firing on all cylinders, both in terms of ratings and the performance we see on Hulu. We’ll launch them in January, when we have huge promotional platforms in New Year’s Rockin Eve, as well as college football and a huge slate of Christmas programming. To have those shows go uninterrupted just felt like the best way to keep growing them, which is our goal.

Erwich also shared that due to the overwhelming success of the shows, especially on streaming, they will be awarded an uninterrupted run upon their return. So when season 3 Will Trent arrives in January 2025, there will be no delays or breaks, making for an even more enjoyable watch.

Is there a ‘Demon Slayer’ season 4 English dub release? https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/is-there-a-demon-slayer-season-4-english-dub-release/ https://wegotthiscovered.com/anime/is-there-a-demon-slayer-season-4-english-dub-release/#respond Mon, 13 May 2024 10:53:02 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.com/?p=1694096 The long awaited Hashira Training Arc is here, fans of the English dub aren’t left behind. ]]>

Demon Slayer season 4 is undoubtedly one of the biggest anime releases of the year. The first episode of the Hashira Training Arc was teased in the hour-long special, To The Hashira Training, which combined the last episode of season 3 and the first of season 4 (or season 5 if you’re watching on Netflix.)

Now that the anime has kicked off in time to save the end of Spring, fans can choose to either watch the original Japanese, or the English dub. For those who decide on the latter, here’s everything you need to know about the Demon Slayer season 4 English dub release date.

When will the Demon Slayer season 4 English dub be released?

As the new season of Demon Slayer has just started airing, there hasn’t been any official announcement on when the English dub will be released. However, Demon Slayer streams on Crunchyroll, and based on previous seasons, some assumptions can be made about when the English dub will be released.

In past seasons, the English dub was released about two or three weeks after the Japanese release. With that information, we can assume that the English dub for the first episode of Demon Slayer season 4 may be available by the final days in May, or the first week of June. After the first episode, the English dub for the rest of the season will follow a weekly release schedule just like the original Japanese episodes.

Things have been slightly different with Demon Slayer movies though. Past Demon Slayer movies have had their English dubs released on the same day as the Japanese versions. However, this is only specific to movie premieres, and has not been done for any of the series’ seasons.

Therefore, if you plan on watching the English dub, there’s not much of a wait! In a few short weeks, you’ll be able to enjoy the typical weekly release. Just make sure to avoid spoilers as viewers of the original Japanese will be at least two episodes ahead of you.

Demon Slayer is streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu and viewers outside of North America can also watch it on Netflix.
